Many people teach great classes, tell wonderful stories, and give good advice.  But they struggle with putting those same thoughts on paper.  As articulate and fascinating as a speaker can be, sometimes converting the spoken word to a written delivery can be difficult.  That is where I come in.  I am a personal editor. 

A personal editor gets to know you as a person, takes on your writing project to make it the best reflection of what you want it to be, and polishes it for grammar, punctuation, and for continuity.  A personal editor will ask questions, will point out inconsistencies in a plot or discussion, and will do her best to make your words reflect your ideas. 

I do this because I like meeting and working with creative people.  My rates are $20/hour or $5/page (double spaced).  Because this is more of a calling than a career, I prefer to begin with a 5 page (double spaced) trial, free of charge.  You can see how I work, if you like how I work, and we can both see if we have compatible styles.  I can modify your document directly or I can mark the changes formally, using the ‘Track Changes’ capability of WORD.  This will tighten up your manuscript for submission to agents and publishers, where the guidelines are very strict.

I have a number of regular authors.  Some of these authors are published, several are seeking publication.  When I return a manuscript, it will be polished, tightened up, any unclear discussions will be noted, and the format will be submission ready or ready for the author to check the changes one by one.  This allows the authors to focus on putting their ideas together, while I focus on proper grammar, punctuation and readability.  Most of my authors have a metaphysical background; therefore most of the books I work with reflect some facet of metaphysical topics.
